During a typical 10-week Workwork or Carpentry course, you should expect to learn the basic skills, from measuring and planing wood to cutting a range of joints and finally sanding and finishing the final product, as you complete a small project.
During more atypical courses like the Creative Carpentry course at Gorey Community School, you’ll use a variety of woodworking and upcycling skills as you make some unique items for your home.
