Undertaking a nail beauty course will also give you a taste for the nail technician profession, and a good grounding before going on to complete an ITEC Nail Technology Diploma, or similar course.

During a typical course you expect to learn about manicures; toe nail care and pedicures; filing and painting; French polish; basic nail art using colours, glitters, gems and transfers; applying and removing Shellac colours; and the basics of acrylic nails and gels.
An evening class in nail care will equip you with the skills needed to apply professional-looking finishes to your own nails and those of friends and families.
