Tai Chi promotes a return to deep natural breathing which improves the flow of Qi [energy] to the internal organs. The nervous system relaxes and releases stress, leading to a profound feeling of well-being.

Benefits of regularly practicing Tai Chi include increased longevity, improved mental health, a reduced risk of falling, and increased general health in elderly people.

It is also known to help with stress, anxiety, low mood, fatigue, poor immunity, weak digestion, bone and muscle problems, arthritis, menstrual dysfunction and high blood pressure.

The gentle movements make Tai Chi more accessible than other forms of exercise and while the benefits in older populations are obvious, Tai Chi can is practiced by people of all ages.
