During a typical course you will pick up the essential knowledge and skills to stay safe on the hills and mountains of Ireland.
Most courses are a mix of in school classes, where you will learn how to read hill walking and Ordnance Survey maps, use a navigation compass, respect the weather and environment, and wear the correct footwear and clothing, and excursions to the hills which will include navigation challenges.
