It is the primary language of 20 countries worldwide and the third most commonly used language on the Internet. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, an official language of the EU, the African Union, the Commuity of Latin American and Caribbean States, the Union of South American Nations and a number of other international organisations.
It is also a language which is relatively easy to pick up, and with 38% of Irish adults choosing Spain as their holiday destination, there’s little surprise that Spanish is a very popular course on most schools’ adult education evening course programme.
The emphasis of most of our language classes is on conversation and verbal communications. You’ll pick up useful words and phrases, and be encouraged to gain confidence using them in a fun and relaxed environment.
Expect a lot of role play and verbal practice – you won’d be getting bogged down on grammer or literature, though you’ll have the opportunity to learn about Spanish culture, and in some instances to sample tapas and other Spanish cusine.
