Pottery and Ceramics courses for adults
Producing studio Pottery or Ceramic items – i.e. items of clay and other ceramic material not produced in a factory – is something which can be tried by anyone, and taking part in a class is a great way to meet people, get in touch with your creative side, and extend your artistic horizons.

During a 10-week beginners’ Pottery or Ceramics course, participants should expect to try slab, sculpture and wheel work (note, not all schools have the facilities for wheel work), and create and glaze a few small items.
Participants often come back term after term to perfect their skills and try ever more challenging projects. After a term or two, you should expect to be making items good enough to give as presents; the fast learner will be creating professional items after three or four terms.
Either way, you’re sure to have a lot of fun as you pick up a useful new hobby.
