QQI Level 6 Training and Development Special Purpose Award
The Level 6 QQI Training and Development Special Purpose Award (6S3372) aims to enable participants to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to undertake training activities. The course enables learners to identify and assess training needs, and to develop, deliver and evaluate suitable training activities.
The Training and Development Special Purpose Award has replaced the old FETAC/QQI Train the Trainer programme since 2015. It consists of two component modules which can also be taken as stand-alone courses.
QQI Level 6 Certificate in Training Needs Identification and Design (6N3325)
The certificate in Training Needs Identification and Design is specifically designed to enable participants to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to identify and analyse training needs, and to design, develop and plan relevant training interventions.
By the end of the course, learners will have a greater understanding of training and development practice, adult learning theory and its application, instructional design system and training needs analysis models, and prioritising training needs. They will be able to identify training needs and develop and design a range of appropriate training interventions.
QQI Level 6 Certificate in Training Delivery and Evaluation (6N3326)
The Certificate in Training Delivery and Evaluation is a highly recognised qualification for those responsible for the training of others in organisations. It is designed to enable participants to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver and evaluate suitable training programmes.
Upon completion of the module, learners will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of adult learning theory, the role and competence of an effective trainer, and assessment tools and approaches in the assessment of learning. They will able to set appropriate training objectives, identify key factors in the preparation of training deliver, and demonstrate the core skills and competencies required for effective training programme delivery.
