Learn how to make your own jewellery
With cheap materials widely available, it's never been easier to make your own jewellery. Even complete beginners can make striking accessories and pieces of jewellery. Making your own jewellery is not only a rewarding hobby, but creating your own custom-make necklaces, bracelets and earrings to match your new outfits, can save you a lot of money too.
During a typical 10-week course you will work on your own item or items of jewellery, and learn a range of skills to make other items in the future. Intermediate/advanced classes will teach techniques such as Chainmaille, Wirework and Bead Weaving. Proper and safe use of tools will also be covered. Check individual course descriptions on school websites as some courses cover beaded jewellery, while others teach you how to make necklaces, brooches, bracelets, earrings and other items from metal. Prices will vary too, depending on the duration of the course, and whether or not you need to supply your own tool and materials.
