Even if you haven’t spoken French since the Junior (or Inter) Cert, or have only picked up a few phrases from travelling in France or Francophone countries, you’ll be surprised how quickly you gain confidence and expand your vocabulary.
The emphasis in most adult education evening language classes is on the spoken language. You’ll pick up useful words and phrases, and be encouraged to gain confidence using them in a fun and relaxed environment. Expect a lot of role play and verbal practice, and not too much grammar nit-picking or reciting classic French literature!
